Tuesday, June 9, 2020, was organized the 2nd anniversary of the death of our late Professor Ogobara Doumbo. We paid him a tribute that at the level to his international reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the ceremonies commemorating the disappearance of our late Professor Ogobara Doumbo on June 9, 2018 in Marseille, France, we paid tribute to this illustrious scientist by hosting a symposium on Mycology. Given the international health context marked by coronavirus disease, this tribute was made through Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This symposium was organized by Madame Doumbo Safiatou Niar\u00e9, Ma\u00eetre de conf\u00e9rences agr\u00e9g\u00e9e en Parasitologie-Mycologies on the theme: Fungi, hidden enemies of our health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The introduction remarks were made by Prof. Abdoulaye Djimd\u00e9, Director of MRTC-Parasito. It was a good occasion to associate the scientific community that Professor Doumbo had committed to federating throughout his career. This introduction was followed by scientific presentations from various international speakers from Africa and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this 2nd anniversary, about 190 people joined the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The SOAP and Cames through the health PTR were strongly represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Several topics were discussed, such as the clinic, epidemiology, therapeutics, diagnosis, mycetomas, candidoses, dermotophytoses, aspergillosis, cryptococcosis and antifungals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This symposium was concluded with the thanking notes of Prof. Abdoulaye Djimd\u00e9 and a testimony of the former Minister of Health of Mali, Pr. Samba Sow, who is also a former student of Prof. Ogobara Doumbo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
