Visit of Dr. Lisa Mills
On September 16, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Lisa Mills to the PMRTC. Dr. Mills is the new Associate Director for International Research at the NIH and works closely with Dr. Steve Holland.
The purpose of her visit was to discuss future collaborations with our team. It provided Dr. Mills with a comprehensive update on the achievements of the various research and training units, as well as an overview of upcoming activities.
She also met with the students of the DELGEME Plus Summer Course, which brings together participants from 11 African countries for a month-long training program, and visited:
- the two genomics laboratories dedicated to hands-on training in molecular biology, led by Dr. Antoine Dara and his team;
- the multipurpose laboratory 2, specializing in drug discovery and drug resistance research, led by Dr. Laurent Dembélé and his team.
It was a moment rich in discussions and knowledge sharing.
We warmly welcome Dr. Lisa Mills and look forward to fruitful collaborations in the future.
